Crazy Boy Accident, a very crazy video in which a boy is standing on the heavy traffic road and suddenly a car hit him very badly.
A police spokesman said the car swerved and hit a traffic light at Springfield Road. The car is understood to have continued, dragging with it the lights, hit children walking on the sidewalk, before returning to the other side of the road and coming to a stop when it hit a parked car.
Part of Springfield Road was cordoned off by police for questioning.
Speaking at the scene Chief Inspector Mark Gilmore said: "My condolences to the families and friends of those involved in this accident.
"Three children were involved, a 12-year-old died and two others are in critical condition."
The accident took place just meters from the Royal Victoria Hospital and the children were taken inside for treatment.
