No matter where you work, and no matter how hard you work, at some point everyone hits a wall where the work is the most boring thing in the world.
This condition has been widely diagnosed as "heaviness" and is a common phenomenon in the world. Luckily for you, we have a recipe for this disease.
When your work life becomes boring, here are five ways to break "heaviness.
1. Move Up.
The best way out of the "heaviness" means promoting reached.
You not only have a new and exciting career to wait, but you'll finally be able to offer these Italian shoes you've been eyeing. But get that promotion means you need to find a way to self-motivate beyond current deadlock position and work rate greater and faster.
We also noticed at work, and not for their mistakes. You have to beat all others at work looking for the same promotion. This is done by setting a goal and make a plan to achieve this goal.
The good thing about having a goal is that things are not boring when you are busy working to achieve it, and forget the "heaviness".
2. Move Out.
After a certain period of time for us all to get bored doing the same old, same old every day.
It is natural for 'heavy' after two years, three years or more. Do not wait for 'The Seven Year Itch "that people talk. At that time, he was certifiably fried, and their self-esteem and the unit will be hit in a boring presentation.
If you're not growing, then it's time to move.
If you do not have the opportunity and upward mobility in your current job, then it's time to move.
If you feel you have learned everything there is to know or want to know about a particular job and find completely annoying, then it's time to move on.
What time is it? It's time to move.
3. Move Sideways.
If you can not move up and if you are ready to go, all is not lost when it comes to fighting "heaviness" in the workplace.
Sometimes a break is as good as an increase. This is not true, but sometimes a break is all you can get, so take it.
This break from your regular routine could be a temporary assignment in another department. If you are in engineering, and then try to sales. If you are in sales, then try to design or production. Even if you have been trained as an accountant, maybe an HR couple of months could be interesting.
You can learn new skills that will always be used as long as you may be ready for a more permanent move, and certainly will not be bored.
4. Take a Time-out.
One of the fastest growing concepts in the modern workplace is very old reality, sabbaticals.
There was a time when you were limited sabbaticals for teachers or professors, but now it seems that everyone can at least consider. The way it would work is that you approach your boss and ask for a certain period of time off work. It may be three months, six months or a year or more.
Now, the big disadvantage if they say yes, then you will not make money while you are away. This means that you should plan enough time in advance, because your dog is used to eating. But if you can afford it or find a way to do it, and a boss that you go ahead and give you a job back at the end, so why not try?
You can use this time to backpack in Nepal, or return to school or find another job. At least there would be a dull moment.
5. Do Things Differently.
A change is as good as a rest when it comes to dealing with "heaviness". Everything and anything you can do to change the dull monotony of your daily routine can help.
It could be as simple as taking different routes to work, even if they take a little longer.
Or, it could be reorganized its work so that you do things that hates Mondays and Tuesdays, and then do the rest of the week doing activities you love.
You can rearrange your office space or cabinet or an art gallery or music instead of wandering aimlessly in the mall. Doesn'doesn't really matter what you do differently as long as you change up.
