Though 4G connectivity is yet to achieve common in market, some players are already thinking about 5G Telecommunications. Huawei announced that it has signed an agreement with Russian mobile operator MegaFon to develop and 5G networks in 2018.
Mobile World Live today announced that the two companies have signed a memorandum of understanding this morning focuses on the development of 5G technology, with plans to deploy test networks in time to cover the 2018 World Cup.
The goal is to complete this project in 2017. It is expected that this work will lead to the 5G network are available for guests and participants of the 2018 World Cup in Russia.
"With the help of MegaFon, we are confident to service the 5G science fiction as reality for the citizens of Russia and football fans around the world, two years before the estimated date of 5G introduction of industry in 2020, "said Ryan Ding, President of Huawei products and solutions.
It was previously reported that India and Israel have agreed to work together on the development of telecommunication technologies 5G too. Kapil Sibal, and his Israeli counterpart Gilad Erdan at a meeting agreed that the two countries can cooperate in exploring the possibilities of developing and manufacturing standard formulation in the field of 4G and 5G technologies for telecommunications.
